This week we showed off our Ramsay-esque knife skills and teamwork to chop together a fresh Greek salad. Budding chefs galore!

Greek Food Tasting - 22/4/26

Fresh from Veolia, 5W spent the afternoon exploring our DT - Greek Food topic further by tasting and evaluating a range of typical Greek-style ingredients. There were mixed reviews, particularly for the Lemons!

Veolia Trip - 22/4/26

5W had an excellent morning at Veolia's recycling sorting facility in Mansfield, to see what happens to the contents of our blue bins once they've been collected from the Lady Bay kerbside! We learnt all about how the process works, how we can help at home, and toured the working warehouse.

Our visit to the National Space Centre!

Wow! What an awesome day. This trip really brought our 'Space' topic to life!

5W Civil War Trip - 14/01/26

We had a superbly engaging and enlightening time at the National Civil War Museum in Newark today. We learnt about the causes of the conflict, how the war played out, the different types of soldiers (including a thorough examination of the various types of armour and weapons available to them), and the siege of Newark and how (if) individuals lived through it! We then explored some real artefacts to support our learning in History and English.
