  • Growing together – Year 3 showcase of learning

    As part of our personal development opportunities for all children across school, we have a timetable of events where every year group has the opportunity to perform to their parents. Today, it was the year 3 showcase of learning. It was so fantastic to see so many parents at the showcase. The children were all brilliant and showed off their learning in history, Spanish, topic, maths, science and swimming. A fantastic showcase – well done year 3.

  • Be ready – Boys’ Cup match

    The boys played in the Rushcliffe Cup this week against Edwalton. We were expecting a very tough game as we have played them a few times before. The boys were all excellent and played some superb football .We were victorious again beating Edwalton 8-1. Well done to all the boys.

  • Enrichment and Be ready – 4S trip to Pizza Express

    The children in 4S had a lovely trip to Pizza Express this week. It is so fantastic that businesses in West Bridgford offer our children the opportunities to take part in mornings like this. The children learnt how to make a pizza,

  • Growing together – OPAL play

    The OPAL team met this week to review steps made so far and to look at next steps. We discussed the successes to date and what we feel would improve our offering. We felt ensuing the wider play team had a complete understanding  of each of the zones was essential and what we wanted tidy up to look like needed further explaining and exemplifying to the children. We have talked about rotating the sport to ensure children remain interested too. We have lots of new small world to add which will be coming soon. It was great to see so many happy and smiley faces at lunch. The boys below were very proud of their tower (which took them a long time) and Arjun was loving having a ride in the wheelbarrow.  

  • Be ready – Year 5 and 6 girls’ football tournament

    The year 5 and 6 girls represented the school in two tournaments this week. On Saturday, the girls played in the district tournament. He girls were fantastic an won the tournament. They will be playing in the regional event later in the year. You can see photos and a report here at www.nottsschoolsfa.co.uk under the menu heading primary tournaments and U11 7-a-sdie 24/24 Autumn tournament. The also played at the Notts County tournament this week. The girls were once again amazing and represented the school brilliantly. The team reached the final and narrowly lost 2-0 against Greythorn. An amazing effort once again for the girl showing what a superb team they are.

  • Be ready – Leadership opportunities

    We have been inundated with applications from the children for the leadership opportunities we have in school. It is fantastic to see them all taking the roles so seriously and for writing excellent application forms. We have well over 100 to look through and read and will be giving the roles out next week. We are looking forward to seeing the children in their new roles.
